At last year’s Bergtagung, the wiki proved less of a success than we had hoped for. We do want to keep our information editable for everyone, so the spirit of a wiki is fine, but that means we have to maintain two separate systems and battle spammers on both fronts.
So for this year, we will […]
There’s a time-lapse video of the Bergtagung 2007 webcam, which dutifully saved all the pictures it transmitted to the intarweb. And what do you know, we also have a YouTube link. Original video is in XviD format, no audio, and will be uploaded as soon as time permits.
The Bergtagung concluded yesterday in a frenzy of cleaning. After a good three hour walk up a random mountain, where five of us ate dried meat, enjoyed the view into the valley and sat on a bench like proper elderly mountain people, we headed back to the village to give the Bergtagung building a good […]
The Bergtagung 2007 has ended Sunday afternoon, the 22th of July. The participants can send us their pics (to Ramon or Alex). The next Bergtagung is probably going to take place in a year at the same place around the same time. Stay tuned.
I did some reconnaissance work on my way up and took pictures of the beer selection at the Coop in Ilanz. As you can see on the photographs, the selection of special beers is rather limited and quite expensive. Still, we can go there and get beer in a pinch.
But there’s a way out of […]
The Rough Guide to the Bergtagung 2007 is available for download on the wiki.
The guide includes a map of where things are in Siat, where to park your car etc. So there. No excuses if you can’t find us.
As you might have seen on the pricing page, the sleeping options we have consist of basic bed frames with wool blankets. If you’d like a more luxurious bedding, please bring your sleeping bag along with you. Those have much better thermal properties. Mmmmh, thermal properties.
On the left you can see, semi-live, the Bergtagung logo as it is being designed by Alex Antener. Observe the radioactive RSS pinncle-beams of death!
If you’re coming, please add your name to the list of participants so that we know how much food to buy.
If you prefer not to add yourself, you might have to hunt your own giraffe or ferret or cheese when you arrive.
Wondering what clothes to bring to the Bergtagung? Relax! We don’t know either!
The weather is increasingly erratic over Switzerland at the moment, some days going from cold rain and 10°C in the morning to humid 26°C in the afternoon (in Zürich). Siat, on the other hand, has a bit less frequent weather changes and about […]
